POLICY ANALYSIS AND PROGRAM EVALUATION

Policy analysis and program evaluation cover a broad range of topics, all with socially-relevant applications. Our policy analysis and program evaluation work currently focuses predominantly on the well-being of youth. Drawing on the top quality data collection and information management system New Amsterdam Consulting has implemented in juvenile detention and correctional facilities, our policy analysis and evaluation research has informed how facility practices should be developed or reformed to improve conditions for at-risk and incarcerated youth.

Our approach to policy analysis and program evaluation is to integrate data collection and tabulation into daily practice to improve organizational practices incrementally and continually. This approach is responsible, in part, for one of our projects’ earning a Harvard University Kennedy School of Government Innovations in American Government Award in 2004.
