In-person focus groups are the single best way to address conceptual matters because they allow participants to use all of their senses to comprehend an idea. Furthermore, focus groups allow participants to communicate their feelings and desires with gestures and in writing, as well as verbally. Finally, participants feed on the interaction with their peers and use their common language to move from a vague notion to a developed thought.
Our approach to focus groups advances participants from a discussion of general ideas to the creation of detailed products by slowly introducing stimuli and by using tools that help participants make the abstract concrete.
